Archiving vs Deleting contacts
Deleting or archiving contacts is a great way to keep your contact list clean, organized, and up-to-date.
Deleting contacts from Amplified removes them from your contact list, but it doesn't remove their information from Shopify. This means that if there is another sync operation with your Shopify store, those contacts may re-appear in Amplified. To avoid this, we recommend archiving contacts instead of deleting them.
Archiving contacts, on the other hand, will ensure that your contacts' information remains searchable and accessible via the Amplified dashboard but won't be billed to your account. Changing your contacts' status to archived will also prevent them from receiving your Email and SMS Campaigns. In addition, when resyncing with Shopify, those contacts will remain archived.
