To send SMS notifications, companies are required to provide transparency about who is sending the texts and what type of content they're delivering.
On the other hand, users must ensure that the recipients provide consent for that interaction.
Since we've partnered with Twilio, we must adhere to their compliance guidelines and best practices as indicated here:
From your Shopify Admin, navigate to Settings > Checkout.
Scroll down or search for "Consent for Marketing" and check the box for SMS Marketing.
By doing this, Shopify will include an additional opt-in section in the Checkout.
